LCFC CUP WINNERS!!!

Congratulations to our boys…they brought it home!!!

After some fantastic team displays & great individual performances, Highfield Rangers were eventual victors in the LCFC Inner-City Cup.

After topping their group undefeated & conseeding zero goals, Rangers were in great form for the final against Studs FC. Rangers started quickly but couldn’t get the early goal their play deserved & left it late in the first half to get the opening goal when Zweli Booi curled in a glorious freekick to make it 1-0 to Rangers at the break.

The second half was more of the same until Studs changed their formation a little & began to create some chances, with Morley Clarke having to be very alert in the Highfield Rangers goal on more than one occasion to keep Rangers in the lead.

Studs pressure finally told with a scrappy goal to make it 1-1 just before the final whistle & send the match into penalties

A nervey penaly shootout saw misses from both teams until Darsim Jabar scored his penalty followed by Morley Clarke making the vital save & sending the players wild.
